Please tell us a bit about yourself.
I'm Lorem Ipsum. 3D Artist based in Turkey. I use the name Lorem Ipsum because it's an anonymous name and a familiar empty phrase. I want people to judge me by my artworks, not who I am. That's why I'm anonymous and that's why Lorem Ipsum.I have worked in many companies as a 3D artist until now. In 2020, I met the crypto art world and started to be a part of it. I have produced and worked in many different fields. I took part in platforms such as Foundation, Nifty Gateway, Makersplace. And I continue my adventure on SuperRare.
What mediums do you use to express yourself?
We are moving towards a world where everyone can express themselves easily. With WEB 3, we will be in a rapidly digitalizing environment in many areas. Therefore, everyone can find different ways to express themselves. For me, art is one of the fields where I can express myself. My 3D animations contain a piece of me. I try to embroider a story in each piece and they are mine. My stories. This is how I express myself.
Are you a Solo or Collaborative artist?
Solo. So far I only have 1 collaboration piece. Even though I wanted to do this, I haven't been able to focus on this field until now.How do you/your perception of art differ from others?
Anyone who says they are different is ordinary. The important thing is not to say "I am different", but to be noticed in the ordinary. I'm trying to do that too. I don't try to be different, I do my best and try to connect with people. I think art differs in so far as it can relate to society and people. An understanding of art independent of society is unthinkable. Is there a fav artist or an artwork that inspired you/your style?
When I first stepped into the world of NFT, I was fascinated by Pak like many people. It still is. But I think I can now establish deeper bonds with Refik Anadol. The more I listen to his interviews and learn about his understanding of art, the more I admire. He connects with the society in his artworks and makes the society a part of his artworks. That's what I admire. I’m also proud that the two artists I admire are from Turkey. What was the last Exhibition you visited?
I think it's been about 2 months. I visited the "Digital Touch to Analog" exhibition curated by Esra Özkan in Izmir. Also, my artworks were also there. What does Innovation mean to you?
Digitalization. In my opinion, innovation in the current century definitely means digitalization. Every day we wake up to a world that becomes more and more digital. It's impossible to even compare to 20 years ago.Everything changes, it has to change. Nothing that remains behind, does not develop, does not change, can take its place in history.
In terms of the NFT world, artists, their understanding of art, collectors, platforms, ways of collecting... I think everything should change and evolve over time.
Are you familiar with Web3 /NFTs/Crypto?
Sure, I'm part of them. I’m very happy that it is so. It is an honor to be among those who want to shape the future today. Is AI your Enemy or Friend?
Nothing is my enemy. AI is still very new and open to development. What matters is how it will evolve. When social media popped up a lot of people were like, "oh, they're going to take our jobs, scammers!" He made comments like But social media is everywhere in our lives now. So will AI. It will develop and become one of the most important parts of our lives.
” First, I consider the process we are going through as a transitional period. That's why making a living with art is a little difficult these days. You must be in luck. This should not lead to loss of motivation. We must continue to produce and do even better quality works. This is how you prepare for the future. We have to row even when there is no water.
Second, the only constant is change itself. We have to learn and change every day, every day and every day.
We are building the art of the future. Nothing will be easy, but this process will move us forward. ”
