1. Please tell us a bit about yourself. What mediums do you use to express yourself?
   Hello, I'm Pinar Sarikaya! I graduated in Visual Communication Design three years ago and have since developed a strong interest in photography. Photography has become my passion, and I have been actively working in this field for over eight years. Additionally, I create content for various social media platforms. Recently, I have also been captivated by the art of artificial intelligence, and I have begun producing works in this field as well. It is an exciting journey for me, offering a new artistic experience and discovery.
   
   [TR] Merhaba, Ben Pınar Sarıkaya! Üç sene önce Görsel İletişim Tasarımı bölümünden mezun oldum ve o zamandan beri fotoğrafçılıkla yoğun bir şekilde ilgileniyorum. Fotoğrafçılık benim için bir tutku haline geldi ve sekiz yıldan fazladır bu alanda çalışmalar yapıyorum. Aynı zamanda sosyal medya platformlarında da içerik üretmekteyim. Son zamanlarda ilgimi çeken bir başka konu ise yapay zeka sanatı. Bu alanda da çalışmalar yaparak eserler üretiyorum. Bu benim için heyecan verici bir yolculuk ve yeni sanatsal deneyimim için yeni bir keşif.

2. Are you a Solo or Collaborative artist?
   Typically, I find solace in working independently as it allows me to immerse myself in deep concentration and explore my personal creativity. However, I also derive great enjoyment from collaborative endeavors. The synergy and diverse perspectives that emerge from teamwork often yield immensely gratifying results, making the outcomes of collaborative efforts truly remarkable.
   
   [TR] Genellikle yalnız çalışmaktan hoşlanıyorum çünkü bu benim için yoğunlaşma ve kendi yaratıcılığımı takip etme fırsatı sunuyor. Ancak, iş birliği içinde çalışmaktan da büyük keyif alıyorum. Bir ekip içinde çalışmanın getirdiği sinerji ve farklı bakış açıları, işbirliği yaparak ortaya çıkan sonuçların çok daha tatmin edici olmasını sağlayabiliyor.

3. How do you/your perception of art differ from others?
   When engaging with the visual arts, my attention is captivated by the vibe and atmospheric qualities exuded by an image. The color palette, composition, and emotional atmosphere of a visual artwork have the power to leave a profound impression on me. If a piece possesses an aesthetic that resonates with or evokes a connection to my inner world, it beckons me to delve deeper into its essence and establish a more intimate relationship with it.
   
   [TR] Görsel sanatları ele aldığımızda, bir görselin bana hitap etmesi için onun vibe ve atmosferik özelliklerine odaklanırım. Bir görsel sanat eseri, renk paleti, kompozisyonu ve duygusal atmosferiyle beni etkileyebilir. Eğer bir eser benim iç dünyamı yansıtan veya hissettiren bir estetiğe sahipse, o zaman o eseri daha derinlemesine keşfetmek ve onunla daha yakın bir ilişki kurmak istiyorum.

4. Is there a fav artist or an artwork that inspired you/your style?
   I draw inspiration from numerous esteemed artists within the art world. In the realm of photography, influential figures such as Vivan Maier, Fred Herzog, Ernst Haas, and Robert Doisneau have profoundly influenced my artistic journey. Additionally, I find great inspiration in the works of illustrators like Jim Holland, Joop Polder, Quint Buchholz, and Rob Evans. These talented artists enrich my visual expression and provide me with invaluable insights and diverse perspectives.
   
   [TR] Sanat dünyasında birçok sanatçıdan ilham alıyorum. Fotoğrafçılık alanında Vivan Maier, Fred Herzog, Ernst Haas ve Robert Doisneau gibi isimlerden çokça beslendim. Illustrasyon sanatçılarından ise Jim Holland, Joop Polder, Quint Buchholz ve Rob Evans gibi sanatçıların eserlerinden ilham alıyorum. Bu sanatçıların çalışmaları, benim görsel anlatımımı zenginleştiriyor ve farklı bakış açıları sunuyor.

5. What was the last Exhibition you visited?
   The last exhibition I visited was a special exhibition held at the Istanbul Cinema Museum. It offered a chronological overview of all the work of the famous director Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999). The exhibition was filled with movie posters, script notes, set photos, costumes, and other authentic material covering every stage of Kubrick's cinematic career.
   
   [TR] İstanbul dışında yaşadığımdan dolayı sergilere sık sık katılamıyorum, ancak en son ziyaret ettiğim sergi, İstanbul Sinema Müzesi'nde gerçekleştirilen özel bir sergiydi. Bu sergi, ünlü yönetmen Stanley Kubrick'in (1928-1999) tüm çalışmalarına kronolojik bir bakış sunuyordu. Sergi, Kubrick'in sinematik kariyerinin her aşamasını kapsayan film afişleri, senaryo notları, set fotoğrafları, kostümler ve diğer özgün malzemelerle doluydu.

6. What does Innovation mean to you?
   For me, innovation serves as a transformative tool, driving progress forward. It nurtures creativity, offering fresh perspectives to tackle challenges and equipping us with a powerful instrument to shape a brighter future.
   
   [TR] İnovasyon benim için bir dönüşüm ve ilerleme aracıdır. Yaratıcılığı teşvik eder, sorunlara farklı bir bakış açısı getirir ve daha iyi bir gelecek inşa etmek için güçlü bir araç sağlar.

7. Are you familiar with Web3 /NFTs/Crypto?
   For the past two years, I have immersed myself in NFT and WEB3. The world of NFTs has presented a remarkable opportunity for me to reinvent my photography and artistry. It has granted me the ability to showcase my artwork to individuals beyond physical limitations. By tokenizing my photographs as NFTs, I can digitally present them to collectors, expanding the reach of my art and unlocking new possibilities.

   Moreover, NFTs offer a unique avenue to connect with artists of diverse styles, facilitating the organization of digital exhibitions. This allows me to explore the works of artists who might be challenging to encounter otherwise or whom I may not have been previously aware of. Participating in their digital exhibitions enables me to transcend boundaries within the art world, granting me invaluable experiences and expanding my artistic horizons.
   
   [TR] NFT ve WEB3 ile 2 yıldır ilgileniyorum. NFT dünyası benim için fotoğrafçılık alanında kendimi yeniden keşfetme fırsatı yarattı. Sanatımı fiziksel olarak ulaşamadığım insanlara tanıtma imkanı sağladı. Bir fotoğrafımı NFT olarak tokenize ederek, dijital olarak koleksiyonculara sunabiliyorum. Bu da sanatımın daha geniş bir kitleye ulaşmasını ve yeni fırsatlar yaratmasını sağlıyor. Ayrıca NFT'ler, dijital sergilerin düzenlenmesine olanak tanıdığı için farklı tarzlardaki sanatçılarla tanışma fırsatı sunuyor. Normalde ulaşmamın zor olduğu veya farkında olmadığım sanatçıların eserlerini keşfedebiliyor ve onların dijital sergilerine katılabiliyorum. Bu sayede sanat dünyasının sınırlarını genişletebiliyor ve yeni deneyimler edinebiliyorum.

8. Is AI your Enemy or Friend?
   It is not my enemy; thanks to artificial intelligence, we can transcend limitations and create new, innovative works across various domains, from p5.js to illustrations. Previously, I have undertaken numerous projects utilizing Adobe applications. However, through the integration of artificial intelligence, I have merged my past experiences and elevated my creative process to new heights. (p5.js: is a JavaScript library for creative coding)
   
   [TR] Elbette düşmanım değil, yapay zeka sayesinde sınırları zorlayabiliyoruz, ve p5.js'ten illustrationlara kadar birçok alanda yeni ve yaratıcı eserler üretebiliyoruz, normalde Adobe uygulamalarını kullanarak da geçmişte birçok eser yaptım ancak yapay zeka ile birlikte geçmiş deneyimlerimi karıştırdım ve yaratıcı sürecimi daha da ilerlettiğimi düşünüyorum.

9. Please tell us a bit about a recent piece of the art world that has particularly interested you.
   Rob Evans' 'Evening Ritual' is a recent artwork that has captivated my attention, and holds remarkable significance as it delves into the ambiance and personalities inherent in the ordinary domestic landscapes we frequently encounter in our daily lives.

   'Evening Ritual' truly embodies Evans' distinctive style, as he masterfully directs attention to intricate details, enabling him to realistically portray interiors and objects, infusing them with an authentic atmosphere and profound depth. Within this artwork, Evans explores the realm of everyday routines, familial connections, and personal memories that reside within an ordinary home scene.

   The realism present in Evans' works not only immerses viewers within the interior setting but also evokes emotional and psychological dimensions beyond the artwork itself. It unveils the narratives concealed within this unassuming scene, enveloping us in its immersive ambiance.
   
   [TR] Rob Evans'un 'Evening Ritual' adlı eseri, sanat dünyasında yakın zamanda benim ilgimi çeken bir eser. Bu eser, günlük hayatta sıkça karşılaştığımız sıradan ev içi manzaraların özünde yatan atmosfer ve kişilikleri ele almasıyla son derece dikkat çekici. 'Evening Ritual', Evans'ın karakteristik tarzını yansıtan bir çalışma ayrıca sanatçı, detaylara dikkat çekerek, iç mekanları ve objeleri gerçekçi bir şekilde tasvir ederken, onlara özgün bir atmosfer ve derinlik katmayı başarıyor. Bu eserinde de sıradan bir ev sahnesini ele alarak, günlük rutinlerin, aile ilişkilerinin ve kişisel anıların derinliklerine iniyor. Evans'ın eserlerindeki gerçekçilik, izleyiciyi iç mekanın bir parçası gibi hissettirirken, aynı zamanda eserin ötesindeki duygusal ve psikolojik boyutları da hissettiriyor bana göre. 10. Any other projects?
    Currently, I am wholeheartedly immersed in the creation of a collection titled 'THE NOISE OF MEMORIES'. This captivating endeavor involves crafting new illustrations through the intricate interplay of AI. As I delve deeper into this project, I continuously expand my collection's scope and vision.

    Within this creative odyssey, I take on the role of both curator and artist. Guiding the AI model, I infuse it with specific styles and aesthetics, granting it a distinct artistic essence. With meticulous care, I sift through the illustrations birthed by the model, expertly refining and adding my personal touches to breathe life into my collection.
    
    [TR] Şu anda aktif olarak üzerinde çalıştığım bir proje var. 'THE NOISE OF MEMORIES' adını verdiğim bir koleksiyon oluşturuyorum. Bu projede yapay zekayı kullanarak yeni illüstrasyon eserleri üretiyorum ve koleksiyonumu genişletmeye devam ediyorum. Bu projede, yapay zeka modelini geliştirerek ona belirli bir stil ve estetik sunuyorum. Ardından, modelin ürettiği illüstrasyonları seçerek, onları düzenleyip ve kişisel dokunuşlarımı ekleyerek koleksiyonuma dahil ediyorum.
